Throughout its history the brand has had a number of successes associated with major sporting events and sports celebrities who have left their mark on the world of sport including Yannick Noah, Michel Platini, Bernard Hinault, Jean-Pierre Rives, Arthur Ashe or Diego Maradona.

Airesis became the majority shareholder of Le Coq Sportif in October 2005 and immediately set up a plan to revive the brand based on a return to its roots.Since the takeover by Airesis, Le Coq Sportif has had strong growth in revenue and has been in a profitable position since 2009.

The expansion is reflected initially in the key markets of the brand, France, Italy and Spain. The advancement in the network of boutique shops, whose flagship store is in Paris in the Halles district, puts forward the brand and values.

September 2010 also saw the opening of the center for product development in Romilly, the birthplace of the brand. The old factories have been renovated to accommodate skilled workers who work on the progression of textile designs.

As of 2012, Le Coq Sportif will renew its relation with Le Tour de France, supplying the official distinctive jerseys (yellow, green, polka dot, and white) of this world known sporting event granting the logo high visibility, and re-enforcing its legitimacy as a sports brand.

New market opportunities, including the UK, expanding our own fleet of stores, and the development of textile will all contribute to further growth.
