Le Coq Sportif is a French Sport brand recognised and distributed worldwide. The company created in 1882 by Emile Camuset became the very first hosiery company to put the know-how of knitwear at the service of sportsmen and women. From 1948, Le Coq Sportif distinguished itself by being the first brand in the history of sports equipement to display a visible logo. In 1951, Le Coq Sportif equiped all the riders in the Tour de France. A few years later, in 1960, the company dressed all French athletes at the Rome Olympic Games.

Throughout its history the brand has had a number of successes associated with major sporting events such as the Tour de France. It also had successes linked to major teams such as the French rugby team, the national football teams of Italy and Argentin, AS Saint-Etienne or Ajax Amsterdam, as well as to personalities who have left their mark on the world of sport such as Yannick Noah, Michel Platini, Bernard Hinault, Jean-Pierre Rives, Arthur Ashe or Diego Maradona.

The arrival of the Airesis group, which has been a majority shareholder since 2005, has brought about the rebirth of the French brand as Emile Camuset imagined it : a brand deeply rooted in its roots. Since the takeover by Airesis, Le Coq Sportif has recordrd significant growth in its revenue.

Since the arrival of Airesis in 2005, Le Coq Sportif has recorded continuous growth in its revenues. The Management has implemented a strategic plan focusing on showcasing French know-how, partnerships and multi-sport equipment contracts as well as a commitment to sustainable and inclusive sport.

For the past 10 years, Le Coq Sportif has revolutionised its industrial model by placing it at the heart of its vision. Le Coq Sportif ensures that its textile and footwear products comply with the ethical charter of the brand. The work undertaken on the traceability of materials for better sourcing of eco-responsible materials is continuing. Thus, textile production is now produced in the historic factory of Romilly-sur-Seine - the birthplace of the brand - and in the Mediterranean basin. The strategy adopted was one of proximity and responsiveness. This geographical proximity with short circuit production and local French know-how guarantees the quality of the products. 100% of the knitting and dyeing of the fabrics are made in the French region Aube. Only the assembly of the fabric is done outside of France, but always closeby, with an exclusive partner in Morocco.

Since 1882, Le Coq Sportif’s objective lies in the closeness that the French flag based brand has been able to create with sportsmen and women, whether they be champions or passionate amateurs, able-bodied or disabled, individual athletes or members of collective teams. This is how Le Coq Sportif now imagines and manufactures the outfits that accompany the trials and exploits of the players of the XV de France, Tony Yoka , or the representative and technical outfits of the French teams for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Games and those of Paris 2024.

Le Coq Sportif is the Premium Partner of the French Olympic and Paralympic teams. The French athletes wore the brand's representative outfits during the Beijing 2022 and Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This partnership allowed Le Coq Sportif to significantly increase its visibility.

Today, Le Coq Sportif is present in some sixty countries around the world. With the symbol of a rooster crowing a new day, the brand transmits positive and universal values: every day, a victory is possible.
